When a battle is initiated, both sides roll an attacking and defending dice. The results determine who attacks, and the success of the attacks.
The player with the higher attack roll, gets attack initiative. A post is then made of the attack in progress. Then the defend die is checked for if it connects or not. If the attack roll is equal to the defend roll, the attack misses. If the attack roll is less than the defend roll, the attack is defended. If the attack roll is less than half of the defend roll, the defender gets to make a counter attack. If the attack is GREATER than the defend roll, the difference is the severity of the damage.
If the attack roll is double or more the defend roll, it's a major wound. If the attack roll is triple, it's a fatal wound.
A perfect roll of 20 on the attack, grants the ability to do a knock out blow. This blow can only be blocked by a perfect 20 on the defending roll. Being knocked out means you lose the match and end up in the infirmary.
If the attack rolls are the same, a scratch is done and the attack roll has to be redone.
Damage is done as such. Each character has 10 "health", which is generally the number of attacks they can survive before they are slain. Minor attacks, do 1 damage. Major attacks do 2 damage, while Fatal attacks do 3. In the event of a killing blow, 10 damage is done.
